How to use Multiscreen in ChannelMate

Watch up to four live streams together, choose the layout that fits the moment and control everything with your TV remote.

ChannelMate Multiscreen lets you fill two, three or four panels with Live TV entries from your own authorised playlist. It includes six layouts, single-panel audio, full-screen expansion and quick main-panel swapping.

Step-by-step tutorial

Set up your Multiscreen view

Step 1

Open Multiscreen

From the ChannelMate Home screen or Live TV screen, select Multiscreen in the left-hand menu. The option is available when the app is active and your playlist is loaded.

Step 2

Choose your layout

Select one of ChannelMate’s six layouts. You can use two, three or four panels, including equal grids and layouts with one larger main panel.

Step 3

Add a channel to each panel

Select an empty panel marked with a +. Choose a Live TV group, then select the channel you want. Repeat this for the remaining panels.

Step 4

Choose which panel plays audio

Move the focus with your remote’s directional buttons. The focused panel gets the gold border and AUDIO ON; all other panels remain muted so streams never compete.

Step 5

Go full screen or change the main view

Select a channel in an equal layout to expand it full screen. In an uneven layout, selecting a smaller panel swaps it into the large main position; select the large panel to expand it.

Step 6

Return to the grid or exit

Press BACK once to return from full screen to your multiscreen grid. From the grid, press BACK again to exit Multiscreen.

Before you start

Each panel opens a separate live stream. Your playlist source must permit enough simultaneous connections for the number of channels you use, and your device and internet connection must be able to decode them smoothly. ChannelMate is a player only and does not provide channels or subscriptions.
